Activities at your School

Let Dinton Activity Centre take the stress out of organising school trips, we bring the activities to you! We have a range of activities that we can deliver on your school premises for enrichment days, team building and curriculum specific topics.  Our team of qualified instructors will set up the activities and leave no trace as they pack down. Our instructors are experienced working with students of all ages and those with additional needs.

We offer a range of packages including half day, full day and can offer to run activities into the evening for summer camps taking place on school grounds.

For your bespoke programme choose from the following:

• Bushcraft: structured learning of primitive skills such as fire lighting, shelter building, water filtration and outdoor cooking. Curriculum links with KS2 history and science. We also offer a Team Building Survival Day activity that can be tailored to Primary and Secondary students.
• Environmental Education: Use scientific methods whilst being outdoors, search for mini beasts using sweep nets or get hands on. Identify different species of plants using quadrats and learn about food webs, predator-prey relationships and adaptations. If your school has a pond we can also offer pond dipping sessions. We provide all the equipment, worksheets and deliver the activities for you.
• Team Building Tasks: Perfect for Enrichment Days and introducing new students such as Year 7s to each other. Tasks vary depending on group age and size but each task is designed to promote team work, good communication, leadership, planning skills, respect of others and most importantly to have fun. These activities aid with self-reflection as both a group and individual.
• Commando Joe’s Missions: We are a delivery partner for Commando Joe’s, an Ofsted recognised provider of Character Education, combining team tasks inspiring imagination, communication and personal development.

• Dinton Boot Camp: A high octane session combining military style physical activities, communication and teamwork. Groups compete together in fun-fuelled challenges from cargo net crawls, tyre races and group initiative tasks.
• Navigation Skills: Learn the art of orienteering and map reading. Send us a map of your school grounds and we can create an orienteering course for you.
• Pioneering: A perfect activity for encouraging STEM subjects and team work. Students collaborate to make structures to support the whole team using only wooden poles and ropes!
• Fencing: The art of swordsmanship that teaches discipline, etiquette and physical exercise in a safe and structured environment.

• Mobile Climbing Tower*: Your students will enjoy the thrill and challenge of climbing high on our mobile climbing tower. Climbing is not only a good physical exercise but also encourages team work, empathy and confidence.
• Archery*: let your students channel their inner Robin Hood with our safe and structured archery sessions. Will they strike gold?
