October Half Term
Splash into action this half term with a series of Covid-19 secure, water based activities at the Dinton Activity Centre. The team has worked extensively to produce a holiday activity programme that meets the Government’s Covid-19 safety guidelines.
We will be running the below activities for ages 10+ only
- Wild Sessions - mornings and afternoons (not days)
- Junior Sailing Stages 1-3 (not stage 4)
- Teen Sailing Level 1 (not level 2)
The minimum age has increased, to ensure instructors can deliver lessons at a socially safe distance.
All participants will be required to wear face coverings when inside the building, unless exempt. Click here for the latest guidance on face coverings.

Who We Are and What We Do
Dinton Activity Centre aims to give residents within Wokingham Borough and neighbouring areas the opportunity to get fit and active in the countryside. We are a council owned and operated adventurous activities provider, offering both water and land based sessions. We are a fully affiliated training centre with the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority, Royal Yachting Association, British Canoeing and Ofsted.
Who are these activities for?
Teen and junior courses are suitable for people aged 6-17 and adult course are suitable for ages 16+. To be able to include everyone we will make reasonable changes and adaptations to the programme of events, where it is possible to do so. Participants are responsible for their own personal and social requirements, for example, changing. Participants can arrange to bring their own carer to assist with personal care, including behavioural and medical support, Dinton staff may, at an additional cost act as activity support where appropriate. This is at the discretion of the Centre Manager.
Important Information Regarding Participant Medications
We kindly ask that any medication left in our care is clearly listed on the consent form, along with information on what it is for and when to be administered.
Please also state clearly if medicines left at the centre must accompany the participant at all times (on land and water), or can be left at a central location within the centre. If the medication must stay with the participant at all times (on land and water), you must provide a dry pack for the medication.
